Namagiri is a goddess worshipped in the place named after her Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu state in Southern India. The name "Namagiri" translated from Sanskrit into Tamil sounds like "Namakkal". Her devotees worship her as a consort of Narasimha .
Namagiri was the mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan's family deity kumbakonam.
This is one of the MOST ENCHANTING PLACES, we have visited. The deities are the most beautifully sculpted and never leaves one's eyes & imagination. Hail the Lord & The Mother.
